Agile Articulators is the Premier Silicon Valley Speech and Debate Club. Focusing on skills that aid in career development, our meetings give speakers the tools and experience they need in order to become better, more confident leaders. ...And better position themselves in their careers.
Fewer Meetings. Better Results.
We meet twice per month, on the 1st & 3rd Tuesdays of the month, from 6:30 - 8:30 PM. More of our members have the chance to learn, practice and participate in EACH meeting.
The first Tuesday is a "traditional" Toastmasters meeting, but also includes a Spontaneous Argumentation ("SPAR") debate segment. Widely regarded as an excellent way to ease into public speaking, SPAR debates give speakers at all levels the chance to focus on the basics of public speaking (logic, organization, word choice, etc...) in a non-threatening forum.
The third Tuesday focuses on debating skills - helping members improve their ability to persuade and influence an audience in the face of opposing or competing points of view. (A valuable skill for anyone who has ever had to sell a product, justify a budget ...or respond to the question: "Why should I hire you?")
Our next meeting will be in Mountain View, CA, and EVERYONE is welcome! If you would like to attend, follow the "Contact Us" link on the left-hand menu bar, and we'll send you directions to the site.
